Police: 66-year-old man dead, two others injured in fatal multi-vehicle Lakeville crash

LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Police Department, with assistance from Massachusetts State Police, responded Saturday night to a fatal crash on County Road. 

At approximately 7:00 p.m., Lakeville Police were called to the area of 164 County Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers arrived to discover a two-vehicle crash that occurred between Highland Road and Freetown Street. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, a 66-year-old man from Lakeville, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were both taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. 

The crash was the second fatal crash last night in the area.

The crash remains under investigation by Lakeville Police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and State Police detectives attached to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
