Plymouth County District Attorney identifies man found dead floating in waters near beach

HULL – A man who died following an apparent drowning off the coast of Nantasket Beach Wednesday has been identified, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced.

On Wednesday evening Hull Fire Department personnel responded to a report of an
unresponsive man found floating in the waters near Nantasket Beach. The man, later identified as 76-year-old Robert Nolan of Hull, was pronounced deceased by first responders at about 8:40 p.m. while still at the scene.

Technicians from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later took custody of Nolan’s body to be transported back to their office for examination.

No foul play is currently suspected in this incident.
