Plymouth County District Attorney identifies 4-year-old who died from injuries in fatal drowning

BROCKTON – A four-year-old child died early Monday morning following a drowning incident in Brockton Sunday afternoon, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced.
Brockton Police and emergency medical services responded to reports of a child drowning at a residence on Sunset Avenue shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The child, identified as four-year-old Hendrix Cooley-Walker, was transported to a Boston area hospital and succumbed to his injuries at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office started an investigation into the circumstances which led to this fatal drowning incident following the child’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
