Plymouth County District Attorney announces fatal domestic stabbing of 65-year-old; suspect in custody

A man is dead after an incident that took place on Saturday evening.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz, Massachusetts State Police and Middleborough Police are investigating the domestic fatal stabbing of a man this evening.

The 65-year-old male victim was taken to Morton Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A suspect has been detained and is being questioned at this time.

Just before 9:45 p.m., Middleborough Police stated that an alert issued via Reverse 911 had been canceled and that an active investigation was ongoing in the area of Fairview Street, but there was no threat to the public at this time.

The investigation is still active.
