Authorities are investigating after a shooting left 2 dead and 2 others injured.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz, at about 7.22 p.m., on Saturday, the Carver Police responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting at a child’s birthday party at St. John’s Baptist Club on Silva Street in the town of Carver.

Upon getting that information and upon arriving at the scene, the Carver Police located four individuals who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim, a 27-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, a 20-year-old male, was transported by Carver EMS to an area hospital, and he was also later pronounced dead. A third victim, a 28-year-old male, was flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital, and a fourth victim, a 32-year-old male, was transported by Carver EMS to a local area hospital.

The alleged 22-year-old suspect, who initially fled the scene, was soon taken into custody by the Carver PD. He is currently being processed, and he will be arraigned Monday or Tuesday, depending upon the weather, at the Wareham District Court.

All parties reportedly knew each other.

The DA’s office is working conjunctively with the Carver PD and other law enforcement partners to determine exactly what happened.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
