Plan approved by Zoning Board of Appeals for Chik-Fil-A location in Somerset
In a Thursday meeting, the Zoning Board of Appeals gave the go-ahead that will allow a new restaurant in Somerset.
Chik-Fil-A restaurant will be built at the Fairfield Commons off of Route 6 at 564 G.A.R. Highway.
The eatery was initially scheduled to be a 5,700 square foot restaurant with no drive-through lanes, however, it will now be 5,000 square feet with two drive-through lanes.
The parking spaces will also be 9 feet x 18 feet instead of the town required 10 feet x 20 feet.
Fairfield Commons is becoming quite the hub with a hotel, Panchero’s Mexican Grill, Jersey Mike’s, Starbucks, and the current building of 120 new apartments.
The Chik-Fil-A location is expected to be in operation in late 2025.
