The event will take place on Friday, October 17th. All guests – including federal, state, and local officials, along with donors, supporters, and friends – received an invitation to the event, which will feature light refreshments and a segment with several speakers under a tent in the education center’s courtyard.

“The People Incorporated Early Education Center is a 21,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility that accommodates 214 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, providing services from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the year. The site features an infant/toddler wing and a preschool wing, which flank an impressive courtyard and playground, all thoughtfully designed to blend indoor/outdoor learning. Classrooms feature modern technology with ample play space and learning areas, along with all the traditional books and blocks of a classic schoolhouse. A dedicated gross motor room fosters hands-on learning, and a fully staffed kitchen with the most modern appliances serves nutritious, carefully selected food. The facility is the flagship location of People Incorporated’s Children’s Services Division.

“After an introduction from People Incorporated’s President & CEO Megan Stirk, the schedule of guest speakers includes Chair of the Ways & Means Committee, State Senator Michael Rodrigues; State Representative Carole Fiola; Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan; Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care Commissioner Amy Kershaw; Massachusetts Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Robert Goldstein; Director of the Children’s Investment Fund Theresa Jordan; and a keynote address from US Senator Ed Markey.

“Guests are invited to tour the building and its grounds following the ceremony.”
