Pedestrian sent to trauma center, driver cited, after morning Fall River collision
A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after a collision with a vehicle in Fall River on Tuesday.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 9:00 a.m., units responded to the intersection of Robeson Street and President Avenue in response to an accident involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, investigators determined that a Honda Accord had been stopped at the traffic signal facing North. When the traffic signal turned green; the vehicle proceeded to turn left (West) onto President Avenue. As this was occurring, a pedestrian had been crossing the street in the crosswalk traveling South on Robeson Street. The Honda struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is currently in stable condition.
The operator of the Honda Accord was cited at the scene of the accident.
