Parts of Massachusetts expected to see up to 3 inches of snow Friday
Did someone say snow?
Certain parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut are expected to see accumulating snow Friday.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for northern Connecticut, central Massachusetts, eastern Massachusetts, northeastern Massachusetts,
southeastern Massachusetts, western Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
The National Weather Service has issued the snowfall totals currently expected for Friday morning. The best chance of a few inches is in the Worcester Hills/Berkshires, but light accumulation is possible elsewhere.
Rain is expected to change to snow over the higher elevations and interior late tonight. Minor accumulations are likely.
The NWS is predicting that rain may flip to snow along the I-95 corridor Friday morning with minor accumulations possible.
If the Fall River area sees any snow, it is currently not expected to stick.
Southeastern Massachusetts is expecting rain totals of over 1 1/2 inches starting today and into tomorrow which is much needed due to the current drought conditions.
