Pardon if you have heard this before, accumulating snow, strong winds, wind chill in the negative expected for Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island

It’s been a rough winter for southern New England and has felt a little like Groundhog Day. The upcoming days are no exception.

According to the National Weather Service, periods of light snow showers are possible with the passage of an arctic front Friday night and Saturday.

Ocean enhancement/lingering snow showers are possible for eastern coastal areas, mainly Cape/Islands through Saturday.

There is a 40-70% chance for 2 inches of snow or greater along the east coast of Massachusetts, especially the Cape and the Islands.

With the arctic front, wind chills as low as -30 are expected with bitterly cold conditions expected to last into the beginning of next week.

If all of that wasn’t enough, wind gusts up to 30 mph are possible.

If it is any consolation, the first day of spring is March 20th.
