Owner of popular Fall River Chinese restaurant expanding with second location that won’t be like the first
The owner of one of the most popular Chinese spots in Fall River is branching out with another location, but don’t expect it to be like the first.
Dominic Chen, who is the do-it-all man at Mr. Chen Restaurant at 210 Rhode Island Avenue in Fall River, has purchased the building that houses the former Katrina’s Bakery at 250 Jefferson Street.
While Chen is excited to acquire the property, he hasn’t fully decided what he will do with the location just yet.
“I’m not sure what I want to do with the place yet. A second location for sure though, but I’m going to think outside of the box on this one. It’s too early in the (process) for now.
Chen stated that the 2nd location will have boba tea and some bakery items but will not be a Chinese restaurant.
While details on the Jefferson Street location are not totally clear, and the opening has not been set, if the success of Mr. Chen is any indication, Dominic will keep himself busy.
