Owner believes blind Fall River dog was stolen day after Christmas

Fall River, MA – Fall River resident and former city council candidate Boomer Amaral believes his family dog was taken from his Indian Town Road yard the day after Christmas and is offering a reward for his return.

The 8-year-old Husky who goes by the name of “Chaos” is a white and grey male husky. He’s 65 pounds and has a front elbow scar that is very noticeable.

Amaral says that the fenced in yard has a gate with a lock that was removed and that the gate was closed behind whoever took the dog. The dog has been blind for the past three years and would never be able to breach the gate unassisted.

“I have never had an issue with him ever leaving his property. He walks the same paths as he is familiar with them and doesn’t run into anything.”

Amaral has been out searching trails in the reservation area behind his home but to no avail. Amaral says that it’s possible someone walking the trails saw the dog and stole him. Amaral asked anyone with trail experience to please reach out to him.

Asked if he has any leads, Amaral says all he has is a female with a brown or tan coat that was seen going in the same direction he was seen.

Amaral is offering a reward and asks anyone who has any information to please contact Fall River Police or 774-930-9211.
