A group of men were charged this week in a joint human trafficking operation in Massachusetts.

According to police, on Monday, the Boston Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit conducted a proactive enforcement operation in Roxbury, with a focus on the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard. The initiative was carried out in partnership with the Massachusetts State Police Special Services Section High-Risk Victims Unit, officers assigned to District B-2, and the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

The operation targeted individuals engaged in criminal activity in the New Market Square area, with the goal of reducing sexual exploitation, disrupting the recruitment of victims, and addressing related criminal offenses. This coordinated effort supports the Boston Police Department’s mission to reduce fear, enhance public safety, and improve the quality of life for residents.
