Over 30 child sexual exploitation of children convictions reported by ‘Project Safe Childhood’ in Massachusetts in 2024
Project Safe Childhood, a Department of Justice program that aims to combat the sexual exploitation of children rooted in “technology-facilitated crimes”, has documented over 30 convictions of Massachusetts residents found guilty of exploitation of minors this year.
The program, which partners with local law enforcement as well as state and federal agencies, has increased the number of indictments against defendants for offenses involving the sexual exploitation of minors, including those who produce child pornography and those surrounding sex trafficking.
Just recently, a former Milford teacher was sentence to jail for possessing over 6,000 images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
It is the latest in a long list of convictions across Massachusetts as a result Project Safe Childhood and their partnerships:
