A new batch of protests against President Donald Trump and his administration have been announced across the country, including southern New England.

The “No Kings 3” protests scheduled for Saturday, March 28th is a planned nationwide day of action organized by the No Kings Coalition.

This will be a third major round of “No Kings” demonstrations since Donald Trump’s second term began in 2025.

The protests are framed as a nonviolent, peaceful response to what organizers call authoritarian actions by the Trump administration, particularly focusing on Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations described as a “reign of terror” or “secret police force” terrorizing communities. A key trigger cited is recent deadly escalations and violent clashes involving ICE in places like Minneapolis, where incidents resulted in fatalities and drew widespread outrage.

Organizers, including Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin, anticipate this could become the largest single day of peaceful protest in American history, potentially surpassing previous “No Kings” events. Thousands of events have been registered across all 50 states, with an events map live on nokings.org for people to find or start local actions.

A flagship event is planned in the Twin Cities, tying directly to the Minnesota ICE-related incidents.

Protests are planned throughout Massachusetts including Fall River (12:00-2:00 p.m. on Amity Street & William S Canning Boulevard), Swansea (12:00-2:00 p.m. on U.S. 6 & Massachusetts 118), and Wareham (11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at 54 Marion Rd). More are scheduled in Boston, Brockton, Worcester, and Providence, RI.

The No Kings protests have also sparked pro Trump and pro ICE standouts at similar locations.
