Operator thrown after SUV collides with moped in Fall River

Fall River personnel responded to a vehicle crash with injuries on Tuesday.

According to scanner transmissions, at just before 1:15 p.m., a call came in for a vehicle versus a moped in the area of 251 Middle Street.

The license plate for the vehicle came back to a 2012 Ford Escape.

The moped operator was thrown approximately 6 feet and was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

The collision is under investigation.
