One sent to the hospital after serious multi-vehicle crash on Route 24
One person was sent to the hospital on Thursday after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 24 during rush hour.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. this morning, Car 3, Engine 3, Rescue 2, Rescue 1 along with the Portsmouth Police Department responded to the Sakonnet River Bridge for a car versus tractor trailer, according to the Portsmouth Fire Department.
One person was evaluated on-scene and one transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
No other details were released.
