One man dead and another arrested in evening Rochester shooting
A man is dead after a shooting in Rochester on Friday evening.
According to scanner transmissions, just after 9:30 p.m., a call came into dispatch for someone being injured from a gunshot wound to the chest in an accidental shooting at a home at the 200 block of New Bedford Road. CPR was performed on the victim.
Authorities release name of victim and suspect in fatal Rochester shooting
Police Chief Robert Small stated that he could only confirm that there was a shooting, and that one man was deceased, and another was arrested.
Small did not confirm if it was indeed an accidental shooting.
The department is still investigating the incident at this time, according to Small.
