One in custody after afternoon stabbing at Fall River homeless encampment

One was injured and another arrested after a stabbing incident on Friday.

According to scanner transmissions, at just before 5:30 p.m. a call came into dispatch for a girlfriend who stabbed her boyfriend in tent city off of Brayton Avenue.

Fall River Reporter contacted Acting Chief J.T. Hoar for an update and while the information he could release is limited due to Massachusetts law on domestic violence incidents, he did confirm that it was a domestic violence case and they had a suspect in custody.
