One dead, one seriously injured after plow truck hits pedestrians in MBTA parking lot
A tragic incident occurred Sunday in Norwood involving a married couple struck by a snowplow in the MBTA’s Norwood Central parking lot during the ongoing winter storm.
According to multiple reports, the collision occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. when a Ford F-350 plow truck (operated by a non-MBTA employee contracted for snow removal) backed into or struck the couple as they were walking through the parking lot.
The 51-year-old wife was killed in the incident.
Her 47-year-old husband sustained serious injuries.
Transit Police and Norwood authorities responded, and the driver was cooperating with the investigation.
No charges or further details on fault have been announced yet, as it’s still under review amid the heavy snowfall (with up to 2 feet expected in the area).
