One dead in crash involving vehicle, two motorcycles in Dighton
DIGHTON — Fire Chief Christopher Maguy and Police Chief Robert MacDonald report that the Dighton Police and Fire Departments are actively responding to a fatal crash at the intersection of Main and Elm Streets.
At 8:06 p.m., Dighton Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Elm Streets for a report of a crash. Upon arrival, first responders determined that the crash, which involved a vehicle and two motorcycles, had resulted in a fatality.
An individual driving one of the motorcycles died as a result of their injuries, and an occupant in the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. A second motorcyclist refused transport.

The area around the crash scene remains closed at this time, and motorists should find alternate routes. The road will likely remain closed for several hours.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dighton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
