One dead, another injured, after single-vehicle crash on Route 195 in Swansea
One person is dead after an early morning crash.
According to Massachusetts State Police, shortly before 1:00 a.m. today Massachusetts State Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 195 east in Swansea.
An occupant of the 2008 Honda Accord, an adult male, was located inside the car with life threatening injuries. Troopers attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived and transported the victim to Charlton Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
The other occupant of the car, an adult female, was also transported to Charlton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The facts and circumstances of the crash are under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Bristol County.
