One arrested, three suffering from injuries, after afternoon stabbing in Taunton
TAUNTON — Chief Edward Walsh has provided an update regarding a stabbing incident involving multiple individuals on Paul Bunker Drive Tuesday afternoon.
A 24-year-old Taunton man was placed under arrest following the incident and charges are pending.
At just after 1:15 p.m., Taunton Police responded to Paul Bunker Drive for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old Taunton man, a 21-year-old Taunton man and another 21-year-old Taunton man who were suffering from stab and slash wounds. The three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
The 24-year-old Taunton man was also transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries from the altercation.
The suspect’s name was not released.
It is believed that the individuals are all known to each other and that the incident was not random.
The investigation is currently active and ongoing, and police do not believe there is any active threat to the public at this time.
