Olimpio’s Restaurant opening its doors in Fall River on Wednesday
They say change is constant and with that, change is coming to a Fall River establishment.
Executive Chef Joey Medeiros is taking over St. John’s kitchen at 1365 Rodman Street on Wednesday.
Medeiros, who has been featured on “The Rhode Show”, has decades of experience in the restaurant business.
Medeiros has held Executive Chef positions at the Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain in Vermont, The Newport Experience in Newport, RI, and several other Rhode Island based restaurants including The Thirsty Gull, Top of the Bay, Chair 5, and Proof. He has also owned and operated The Pin Seeker Pub in Vermont.
The eatery, called Olimpio’s Restaurant, is paying homage to Medeiros’ father’s oldest brother and father figure Olimpio Medeiros.
Olimpio’s will feature an array of fresh seafood dishes in addition to Portuguese, and Italian cuisine using Medeiros’ farm and sea to table experience. I’m also told he makes a mean chicken parmigiana.
Hours of operation are Wednesday and Thursday 4pm-10pm, Friday and Saturday (lunch, noon to 3pm) (dinner, 4 pm-10pm), and Sunday noon to 6 pm.
Reservations are recommended but not required by calling (508) 672-9185.
