North Dartmouth man admits to stabbing to death his girlfriend when she tried to break up with him
A Massachusetts man admitted that he stabbed his girlfriend multiple times, causing her death, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Multiple reports say that 65-year-old Angel T. Alvarez of North Dartmouth was arraigned on murder charges Tuesday in the stabbing death of 59-year-old Margarita Morehead of Chelsea.
Alvarez reportedly stabbed Morehead several times in the upper torso with a kitchen knife when she tried to break off the relationship Monday morning in her Lafayette Avenue home.
Chelsea police responded to a report of a disturbance inside the home just before 10 a.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, responders found Morehead at the scene seriously injured. She was taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Morehead reportedly had restraining orders against Alvarez.
Alvarez was ordered held without bail until his next court date in July.
