North Attleboro, Plainville, Attleboro, Mansfield, Foxborough, Norton, Cumberland respond to multi-vehicle crash with 8 injuries
Assistant Fire Chief George McKinnon reports that the North Attleboro Fire Department responded to a multi-car crash Friday afternoon.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., North Attleboro Fire responded to the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Towne Street for a report of a multi-car crash.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered three cars involved in the crash.
First responders transported eight passengers to area hospitals. Two passengers were transported to Rhode Island Hospital, one to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and five to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
The North Attleboro Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Plainville, Attleboro, Mansfield, Foxborough, Norton and Cumberland, Rhode Island fire departments.
Wrentham Fire assisted with two other medical calls in town, while North Attleboro Fire responded to the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
