Norfolk District Attorney announces human remains found in wooded area

The skeletal remains found in woods near Plain Street in Randolph on Wednesday have been confirmed to be human by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said today.

The OCME took custody of the remains, believed to be those of an adult male, for further examination.

The investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, the Randolph Police Department, and the OCME is active and ongoing.

No further information was released.
