Norfolk District Attorney announces fatal motorcycle crash involving SUV

The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and Walpole Police are investigating a fatal crash Thursday morning involving a SUV and a motorcycle at Winter Street and Vintage Farm Lane, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said.
The motorcyclist, a male in his 20s, was transported by the Walpole Fire Department to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton where he was pronounced deceased, District Attorney Morrissey said.
His name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m.
A preliminary investigation by officers at the scene indicate that the SUV was traveling in an easterly direction, and the motorcycle was traveling in a westerly direction on Winter Street when the collision occurred.
The investigation is being conducted by the Walpole Police Department’s Detectives Bureau and Crash Reconstruction Team, a crash reconstructionist with the Mansfield Police Department, and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.
