No Joke Smoke BBQ closing Swansea location, but you haven’t seen the last of them
A popular BBQ spot in the area is closing their brick-and-mortar location, but rest assured there will still be opportunities to pick up their award-winning flavor.
In a social media statement on Tuesday evening, No Joke Smoke BBQ announced that they are closing their Swansea location.
“4 years – 4 years of learning. 4 years of growing. 4 years of ups and downs. 4 years of making new and valued relationships. 4 years living a dream we had always dreamt. Maybe not in the setting we’d prefer, but we can only worry about what we can control. With that, we are looking forward to taking back control, in a setting we prefer, still doing what we love most… but sadly not @ the Saucery. As of today, The Saucery in Swansea is officially closed. We will be having a final karaoke night, Sunday the 16th, from 7-10. After that, we will be hitting the road and bringing our New England Style Q to the masses. From deep in our hearts, Sharon and I would like to thank everyone who was at some point, somehow a part of this journey. You are part of and always will be part of our growth and for that we will forever be grateful. Keep your eyes open for the big orange trailer. She needs a name, so we are taking suggestions.”
No Joke opened at the end of 2018 at the Swansea Mall only to find out a few months later that they needed to find a new home.
Ryan and Sharon Nahas started their adventure selling BBQ sauces in 2015. The popularity of the sauces led to the location at the mall.
Wanting to stay in the area, No Joke found a new spot at 396 Wilbur Avenue in town in March of 2019.
No Joke on Wilbur had N.E. Style, Award Winning, homemade BBQ sauces and local entertainment on the weekends.
Fall River Reporter contacted the eatery to see what their next move is with their big orange trailer.
“We will be everywhere… colleges, dispensaries, breweries, festivals, private events, farmers markets, car shows, you name it. We will be posting our full event calendar for 2023 and revised catering options and available dates in the coming days. We are grateful that we are booking up super-fast.”
When asked if there is a way someone can just order food or will they have to be at one of the events they are located at, No Joke is ironing out the details.
“At some locations we will be able to offer takeout options but are going to slowly figure that out as we figure out everything else. April and May will be our learning curve before we implement for the summer.”
So, while it is sad to see No Joke leave their Swansea location, you have far from seen the last of them.
