New restaurant opening soon inside long-standing Fall River club
A new restaurant is coming to Fall River inside a well-known club in the city.
According to Luis Pagan, he and his wife own the soon-to-open Acores Family Restaurant inside of the St. John’s Athletic Club at 1365 Rodman Street.
Acores will specialize in authentic Portuguese cuisine featuring dishes such as chicken/shrimp Mozambique, surf and turf, chourico, sandwiches, and fish and chips. Desserts, soup, salads, and a kid’s menu will also be available.
The grand opening is set for March 1st.
Pagan states that he has 18 years of experience in the industry.
You can choose to dine in, takeout, or have your event catered.
Maria Ferreira and Rosa Barbosa had previously run the kitchen at St. John’s, but moved to their own spot, Twins Restaurant, in January of 2022.
Hours of operation for Acores will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday/Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They will be closed on Tuesdays.
