New restaurant coming to Fall River at a familiar spot
A restaurant and event location that was expected to open at 299 South Main Street in Fall River will be moving down the street.
La Conquista Restaurant was granted a license to operate at the location in 2018, but due to the pandemic, it never came to fruition as they received an offer for the property they couldn’t refuse.
La Conquista will now open at the previous Adagio Piano Lounge at 227 South Main Street.
The establishment is expected to be open for functions, but will also run as a restaurant. La Conquista will be serving traditional American and Portuguese dishes.
They plan to be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. The eatery will be closed on Mondays.
Owner Nuno DoSoto is expected to make only a few, if any, updates himself and his wife will manage the business.
La Conquista was granted a transfer of All Alcohol Common Victuallers License at the Fall River Licensing Board Meeting on Wednesday.
An opening date has not currently been set.
