New North Dartmouth eatery opened on Friday; here is what you can expect

A new eatery opened Friday in North Dartmouth.

Pokemoto opened for business in the plaza at 127 Faunce Corner Mall Road.

What is Pokemoto you ask? It is a Hawaiian Poke bowl concept known for its modern culinary twist on a traditional Hawaiian classic. Poké is traditionally made up of diced fresh fish served as an appetizer or main course. Modern twists include chicken, tofu, shrimp or salmon with strong influences of Japanese and Korean cuisine.

Guests can choose from a list of signature bowls or build their own unique combination of a base, protein and various toppings and nine different sauces. Bowl combinations are almost limitless. Vegetarian options will also be available in addition to salads, burritos, and sides.

If you are thirsty, Pokemoto has over a dozen boba tea options in addition to fresh pressed teas, lattes, Vietnamese drip coffee, and traditional drinks.

Thomas Nguyen founded Pokémoto in New Haven, CT in 2017. While living in Hawaii, he discovered and fell in love with traditional Hawaiian poké. He realized there was a gap in the New England market which is known for amazing seafood but was missing poké.

Customers can dine in-store or order online via third party delivery apps for contactless delivery.

The Dartmouth location is open 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Grand Opening celebrations are scheduled for December 27-29.
