A family is looking for the public’s help to bring a man home after he was found dead.

On Thursday, June 6th, a body had been recovered from the Brockton wastewater treatment plant. The second in less than two weeks.

The body was later identified as Robert McCarthy who was believed to been seen alive last in Brockton on May 23rd.

McCarthy was a father of 4 and the family had organized a social media campaign to find him before he was located.

The family has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to get McCarthy back home to New Hampshire where his mother lives and he is originally from.

“She would like to have him cremated and times like this I’m trying to make it as easy for her as possible. The funds will be to have the services done and hoping to have a keepsake she can wear or carry around with her always. Bobby was loved by everyone and if you knew him, he would give the shirt off his back. It breaks my heart for our family, friends and his children to have to be going through this. I want to thank everyone who shared and helped support us in the past couple weeks. Please help us get Bobby back home to our mother and put him to rest.”

Authorities do not suspect foul play, however, his death is still under investigation.
