New family owned Puerto Rican restaurant set to open in Fall River
A new restaurant with a different flare is soon to open in Fall River.
El Jibarito, set to open at 390 Rhode Island Avenue, will feature an array of Puerto Rican dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with typical American fare. Desserts and sweets will also be found in both American and Puerto Rican style. A kids menu will also be featured.
Owner Amanda Jimenez Sostre and her family will have ready-to-go food, if you do not wish to wait.
“We will offer a variety of fried foods, sandwiches and drinks (non alcoholic).”

The eatery will have approximately 10 tables and 20 chairs available once indoor dining resumes.
Hours of operation will be Tuesday-Saturday 7:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 7:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. They will be closed on Mondays.
El Jibarito plans to open on July 1st if all goes well at Wednesday’s Fall River Licensing Board Meeting.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the former location of Flame Restaurant will issue take out and delivery only until the limitations are lifted.
