New family friendly South Coast Harvest Festival coming to Westport

A new event for the whole family is headed to southeastern Massachusetts in the coming months.

The South Coast Harvest Festival will be held at the Westport Fairgrounds, 200 Pine Hill Road, on September 29-October 1, 2023.

The event will be featuring professionally designed gardens, fall floral displays, scarecrow creations, antique tractor display and procession, live music, fall themed food, marketplace vendors, pumpkin carving artist, garden talks/demos on topics such as pollinator gardens, bee keeping, mushroom log demonstration, a live Owl program, interactive activities for children, and more!

According to organizers, a portion of the proceeds is benefiting the Westport Fair Agricultural Scholarship Fund.

Here is the schedule of events:

Thursday

September 28, 2023
Garden Illumination Preview Party
6pm ~ 9pm

Be the first to preview this new show under the harvest super moon. The Westport fairgrounds will come alive with illuminated gardens, live music, autumn themed Hors d’oeuvre stations and more! Stroll through the harvest marketplace and view gorgeous fall floral arrangements and scarecrow vignettes. Shop marketplace vendors, meet the garden designers, and celebrate the birth of the South Coast Harvest Festival!

Professional Pumpkin Carving

Professional Pumpkin Carver Richard Kaiser, one of the original carvers from Roger Williams Jack o’ Lantern Spectacular, will be doing live demonstrations. 10 am- 5pm daily!

Antique Tractor Parade
3pm

A blast from the past! Antique tractor enthusiasts show off their vintage iron on the fairground track. Learn about the owners and history of each tractor.

Chrissy Joy and the Joy Crew

Gardens, Art, Tractors, Music, Food and DOGS! That’s right come watch this unbelievable stunt trick dog show presented by Chrissy Joy and her crew of trainers and dogs! Chrissy is a Champion Dog Trainer and motivational speaker. Her message is about connecting better with your dog and overcoming life’s obstacles. She has been seen on Americas Got Talent and trains dogs for the film and movie industry. Chrissy and the dogs are in the newly released Clifford movie!

Bring your sweetie to enjoy this spectacular romantic fall festival under the FULL HARVEST SUPERMOON !! 🌕. Gardens, Live Music, Fall Themed Food Vendors, Harvest Marketplace, mixed with Fun and Romance.
