New Fall River restaurant reveals approximate opening
A new restaurant coming to Fall River made the next step in the opening process.
At the end of July, Coastal Commercial Real Estate had announced the sale of 437 Miller Street in Fall River that will become a new restaurant in the city.
The location, formerly occupied by Maplewood Chiropractic, will be converted into a restaurant featuring authentic Portuguese Cuisine.
The building, which will soon be known as Twins Restaurant, is across from Maplewood Park.
The property was acquired on July 21st by Edwardo Ferreira, Maria Ferreira, and Maria Barbosa, from Westport, MA. Maria Ferreira and Maria Barbosa currently own the popular St. John’s Restaurant located at 1365 Rodman Street. The family-run restaurant is popular for its Portuguese /American cuisine. The sisters are twins hence Twins Restaurant.
Representatives appeared before the Fall River Licensing Board on Wednesday.
The eatery is expected to hold 125 patrons and be open Sunday to Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The building is undergoing extensive renovations which is leading to a late February to early March opening.
The Fall River Licensing Board granted a New Alcoholic Common Victualler License pending inspection of the property.
