New Fall River restaurant headed to iconic waterfront spot; here is what we know
It appears that an iconic Fall River spot will finally be occupied by a new restaurant.
Lepage’s Seafood at 439 Martine Street in Fall River announced on social media in November of 2023 that they were undergoing a remodeling project to bring a whole new level of dining experience including revamping the bar/lounge area and a new floor plan.
Since the announcement, Lepage’s has remained closed including the Lepage’s sign being taken down, leaving to much speculation.
In May of 2024 it was announced that the property was going to be leased out under the name “South Coast Grill”, however the venture never came to fruition.
At a Licensing Board meeting on Tuesday, the owners of Black Salt in Swansea, brother and sister Tania Novo and Joshua Conceicao, requested a new All Alcohol Common Victuallers License/Pledge of Collateral to open a new spot at 439 Martine Street.
The pair are currently in the process of purchasing the property.
The eatery will focus on fresh seafood and will also hold private functions.
Hours of operation are currently set for 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. 7 days a week.
An opening date has not yet been set.
The requests were unanimously approved by the Board.
