New Fall River restaurant, bar, and lounge looking to take you back in time sets opening date
A unique restaurant, bar, and lounge is opening soon in Fall River.
The Counting House at building 12 of 405 Pleasant Street in the historic Durfee Mills is set to have an ambiance that pays homage to the Prohibition era’s speakeasy culture.
While The Counting House will take you back in time with old fashioned chandeliers, furniture, and architecture, the eatery looks fresh.
Ownership of the only modern speakeasy set to open in the area is looking for CH to become a “go to” destination for those who seek quality, vintage cocktails, tapas-style plates, and house made desserts with an upscale atmosphere.
Tina Soscia and Brian Corey are teaming up to offer customers a Portuguese/Italian fusion menu.
Ownership has announced that The Counting House plans to open on December 26th.
Fall River Reporter asked Tina Soscia what the public should know.
“We’re going to have our friends and family invite only opening on Friday and then the day after Christmas we will have our full menu to enjoy which consists of all craft dishes, everything made in house, including our house made focaccia bread. All of our desserts are also made in house. We’re going to focus on doing some private events until the day after Christmas. We do still have a couple of days available if anyone wants to book a private event for the holidays.”
According to Soscia, hours of operation will be 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Eventually, they will have lunch hours, but for now they will be doing dinner only and brunch on Sundays. Brunch is 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
