New England Patriot makes appearance in Fall River for good cause

Teams from across the area competed this week in Fall River with some special help from a New England Patriot.

According to Fall River Public Schools, B.M.C. Durfee High School hosted the Special Olympics Unified Basketball Jamboree on Tuesday, bringing together teams from Durfee, Somerset Berkley, Westport, Mansfield, Seekonk, Old Rochester, Wareham, and Bridgewater-Raynham for an incredible day of competition and fun

Special guest Mack Hollins, wide receiver for the New England Patriots, helped kick off the event.

According to Westport Community Schools, their team was a standout going 2-0 against Somerset Berkley and Durfee. They were congratulated by Hollins for their hustle, great shots, and over all team spirit.
