New England Bobcats disband, ending short run in Fall River
It was fun while it lasted, but the New England Bobcats are no more.
The Bobcats, a professional indoor football team, called Fall River home, but for a short time.
In their inaugural season in 2018, the Bobcats captured first place and went on to win the Championship of the East Coast Division of the EIF League.
The Bobcats played only two home games with their upcoming home game this week getting postponed.
Several sources involved with the team confirmed that ownership stopped operations.
The team was initially scheduled to play in Lynn, but the facility did not feature enough parking so Driscoll Arena was tapped as their new home.
Cynthia Hudson was the team’s owner, president & general manager. Multiple attempts to reach Hudson were unsuccessful.
