A local man killed in a crash Tuesday night is being remembered.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III announced that Massachusetts State Police and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the District Attorney’s Office responded to a single fatal motorcycle crash just after 10:00 p.m. last evening on Route 24 at exit 2 in Fall River.

Upon arrival, police located the operator of the motorcycle on the grass near a highway crash barrier.

The operator, identified as 51-year-old Scott Langlois of New Bedford, was transported from the scene to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Police located the motorcycle in the median of the off ramp.

Scott’s daughter Hannah let us know about her father.

“My father was a very loving person. Very strong about family and providing for others. If you knew Scotty, you knew he was all about his friends and family. He would do anything in this world to provide for any soul! He made sure no matter what battle came his way he made his dream happen! He was the role model (that) you can come from nothing and make everything from it! No matter how dark your days are there is always light at the end of the tunnel! He made sure me and my sister had everything we needed to survive! He was the best friend anyone could have! He truly is a soul gone way to soon and will hit many many hearts! This is a very tragic loss for the community!”

Hannah stated that Scott was riding the motorcycle that is in the above picture at the time of the crash.

The DA’s Office stated that the crash does not appear to be suspicious.
