New authentic Fall River Indian restaurant sets opening date, releases menu

A new restaurant is coming to Fall River at a former BBQ spot.
Ownership of Ed’s Famous BBQ on Brayton Avenue announced last June that they had closed effective immediately, stating a lot of factors were involved in making the decision, some of which were personal.
Days later, ownership of NY Fresh Bagel & Bakery located at 248 Jefferson Street told Fall River Reporter that they would be transforming the property across the street at 756 Brayton Avenue into an Indian restaurant.
Monalessa’s Kitchen Indian Restaurant, which is named after owner Md Shahidul Islam’s wife, will add to a growing Indian cuisine scene in Fall River.
Their menu is below.
The eatery will have a seating capacity of 20.
Hours of operation will be 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 7 days a week.
Monalessa’s has set a grand opening on Monday for guests and Tuesday for the general public.
“We are beyond grateful for your patience and support as we’ve been preparing to bring you the authentic flavors of Indian Foods right here in Fall River. Your excitement and encouragement have meant the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you all!”
