National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip leads to arrest of Massachusetts man on charges involving children

Police have arrested a Massachusetts man on charges related to the possession of child pornography and the distribution of obscene material.

According to Chief Christopher Padden, an investigation was initiated by Norwood Detective Jennifer Hoyle after she was referred a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Detective Hoyle, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, worked in coordination with the ICAC Task Force and partner law-enforcement agencies to obtain both an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Kevin Cobb of Norwood, and a search warrant for his residence located on Nichols Street.

The Norwood Police Department commended Detective Hoyle and the detectives who worked on this case for their diligent investigative work on this case.

This matter remains under investigation.
