NARRAGANSETT — Chief Sean Corrigan reports that the Narragansett Police Department has arrested and charged a man with murder.

27-year-old Bryan Wilson of Narragansett has been arrested and charged with Second-Degree Domestic Murder and Violation of a Protective Order.

Wilson was arraigned Tuesday in the 4th Division of the District Court. A status conference was set for October 9th, and the case was referred to a grand jury.

On Monday, at just before 1:30 p.m., the Narragansett Police Department responded to Inkberry Trail for a report of a deceased female under suspicious circumstances.

Once on scene, officers and detectives conducted a preliminary investigation. The victim was pronounced dead, and officers took a suspect, later identified as Wilson, the victim’s son, into custody.

According to multiple reports, Hawazoe Robinson was the victim and Wilson’s mother. Wilson reportedly confessed to choking his mother after they got into an argument.

Robinson ran the charity “Liberian School for Needy Children” which operates a free Christian school in Liberia.

The Narragansett Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident, and they state that there is no threat to public safety.
