Names and details released in double fatal Sunday morning crash
BROCKTON — Massachusetts State Police Detectives and Brockton Police are investigating a single motor vehicle crash that left two men dead, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 1:26 a.m. this morning, Brockton Police received a 911 call for a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of #2000 Main Street. Brockton Police, Brockton Fire and emergency medical personnel responded and arrived on scene and located a 2015 Infiniti sedan off of the roadway with the operator still inside the vehicle. A second male passenger was located nearby outside the vehicle. The operator was pronounced dead on scene. He has been identified as Damean Amado Abreau, 23 of Brockton.
The passenger was taken by ambulance to Brockton Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Adenilzo Lopes, 21, of Brockton.
Brockton Police notified State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office along with MSP-Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and MSP-Crime Scene Services Section, and an investigation commenced. That investigation is ongoing.
