Name released of missing 15-year-old New Hampshire boy fatally shot in Providence
The name of a missing 15-year-old boy that was shot and killed early this morning has been released.
According to scanner transmissions, just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police and emergency crews responded to a report of a shooting in the area of March Street in Providence with a large disturbance.
Transmissions also stated that in the 50 block of June Street people were outside screaming that someone was shot. It was revealed that a teen was shot in the chest.
Multiple reports state that Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez confirmed the fatality.
According to Concord NH Patch, Providence native Isiah Rosario, a freshman at Concord High School in New Hampshire, is the name of the deceased. Rosario had been reported missing as a runaway just a few weeks ago. Friends say that Rosario moved to New Hampshire in 2022.
There has been no word on any suspects in the shooting.
