Name released of 24-year-old man killed in fiery rollover crash in Plymouth County
A Massachusetts man has died after a fiery motor vehicle crash earlier this week.
Just after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a crash with entrapment in the area of 800 Adams Street (Route 58) in Abington.
According to The Enterprise, a vehicle was seen off the road and fully engulfed by flames right after the collision.
Upon arrival, Abington Police and Fire responded and found a black Chevy Silverado rolled over and on fire, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
24-year-old Robert Mattson, of Abington, was determined to be the driver and only occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No foul play is suspected, and the crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police and Abington Police.
