Mysterious drone sightings occur over New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and now across Massachusetts

Mysterious drone sightings continue across the northeast as of late, this time occurring in our neck of the woods.

According to police, on Thursday, a resident of Harwich called to report unknown drone activity over her residence. The resident reported going outside around 9:00 p.m. where she observed 10-15 drones. The resident could not hear the drones but stated they were very bright, and she observed these for over an hour. 

That same night, around 6:00 p.m. an off-duty Harwich officer also noticed similar drone activity near the Public Safety Complex on Sisson Road. 

Police stated that they have forwarded all the information they have received to the Boston FBI and the Massachusetts State Police and will continue to work with State and Federal partners. 

These drones are similar to the ones reported over the last couple of weeks over New Jersey, New York and most recently over Connecticut. 

Several residents across the South Coast also reported on social media in recent days seeing several drones.

Western Mass News also reported that several residents witnessed what they believed to be several drones in their part of the state.

Some officials believe that at least some of the drones are not suspicious, while others are not so sure.
