Multiple people injured, including Fall River police officer, after crash involving cruiser

A collision on Wednesday afternoon involving a police cruiser resulted in multiple injuries.

A call came into dispatch for a crash at Rodman and Hartwell Streets around 3:45 p.m. on involving a police cruiser.

According to Acting Chief J.T. Hoar, the officer was responding to a call for service with emergency lights and siren activated. The officer was navigating through the intersection and collided with another vehicle. The collision with the other vehicle caused it to flip over.

All parties involved suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries. 

The accident recon team responded to the scene and the investigation remains open at this time.
