Multiple people arrested after Bristol County convenience store accused of selling illegal substances to minors
Multiple individuals have been arrested after police say a Bristol County convenience store was selling illegal items to minors.
According to police, on Monday afternoon, Mansfield Police Detectives executed a search warrant at Mansfield Convenience, 214 Rumford Ave., as part of a months-long investigation.
The investigation initiated following numerous complaints from the public concerned for juveniles purchasing illegal substances from the store. In coordination with detectives from the Massachusetts State Police Illegal Tobacco Task Force, the Department of Revenue, and the Massachusetts Lottery Commission, Mansfield Detectives developed probable cause that the store was selling flavored tobacco products, THC vapes, edibles, and marijuana to juveniles and adult customers without being licensed.
Criminal charges against several individuals are pending in Attleboro District Court for drug-related and financial offenses.
During the course of the investigation on Monday, two adult males were taken into custody on various drug offenses. Police withheld their names pending arraignment.
